Orchids Out West comprises beautiful displays put on by the local orchid societies, i.e. Blacktown City Orchid Society, Blue Mountains and Penrith District Orchid Society and Hawkesbury District Orchid Society, S.P.E.C.I.E.S., The Orchid Society of NSW and individual members. This show has a great selection of orchids to be purchased from vendors from around Australia to enhance your collection. Every year the displays improve in quality and are always very colourful thanks to the wonderful collection of orchids of all generas on display. Not to be missed as this is the first Orchid Fair of the year, maybe this year you will obtain that special orchid you don't have in your collection.

Take a break from your caring role and participate in a valuable experience. Carer Support group for People Caring for Someone Who is Aged. 8 sessions. Sessions will be held fortnightly from 11am - 1pm on Thursdays starting from 14th May, 2026. To be eligible to attend this event, participants must be residents living in South-Western Sydney and Nepean Blue Mountains regions in NSW, Australia. Participants must also be registered with Carer Gateway. We can assist with new registrations for eligible participants.
Are you a Learner, P Plater or Young Driver in the Hawkesbury? Come to a 1 hour workshop! Come and meet Hawkesbury Police, SES, Ambulance and Fire and Rescue emergency services members for a face to face 1 hour workshop! You’ll get to work through a collision scenario and learn about the actions first responders take, situations facing new drivers and discuss driving principles and driver responsibilities. After the scenario there’ll be time for you to ask the panel any questions you might have and gain insights into how to drive safely. Learners should bring along their driving parent/supervisor to the workshop!
