Join us for a full day of music, performance, film and community celebration as we open the doors to the new Headland Theatre. This is a chance to explore the space, experience its potential and celebrate the incredible creative talent of the Far South Coast. Featuring a vibrant mix of poetry, live music, dance, film and performance — all presented by local artists, schools and community groups — the Open Day is a relaxed, welcoming introduction to what this new venue can become. All daytime events are free, with audiences invited to drop in, stay a while, and discover something unexpected.

For generations people have gathered on the headland at Tathra on Djiringang Country to share culture through song, dance and storytelling. This performance at the new Headland Theatre continues that cultural tradition in a contemporary setting. Bringing together voices across generations, Djinama Yilaga share the strength and beauty of Yuin language and culture.

A humorous, moving, passionate and theatrical storytelling/music show from two fabulous performers. In these perilous and chaotic times, some long-established dangerous ideas abound: such as ‘survival of the fittest’, that we ‘humans should dominate nature’, and that ‘men are superior to women’. So, have we, the brilliant human race, blown it? Dignified Anger: Stories for a Perilous Now is a moving and thought-provoking storytelling adventure.
