Learn essential watercolour techniques for Landscape Painting One Day: Saturday 11th April. 10am till 2pm. Local award winning watercolour artist Stu Doherty will guide you through all the basic techniques of wet in wet and over painting in watercolour PLUS colour mixing and brush techniques. ALL MATERIALS will be provided, or you can bring your favourite watercolour supplies too. This 1 day class is perfect as an introduction for beginners or a refresher for those who have painted before.
Beginners Watercolour painting Workshop; Learn to paint a colourful branch of gum leaves & Gum nuts. Saturday 11th April 2026 10am till 2

This workshop invites participants to take part in a larger community-led art project exploring the real cost of living, not financially but emotionally, socially, and physically. Using familiar supermarket language and imagery, the day focuses on creating playful, satirical “products” that reflect the realities of living, caring, working, ageing, coping, and getting by.
Join Stu Doherty for a one-day watercolour painting workshop focused on creating beautiful river landscapes. This class is perfect for beginners and those looking to refresh their skills. Learn wet in wet and over painting techniques, along with some gouache and texture methods. All materials are provided, but you can bring your own watercolour supplies if you prefer. The workshop will be held at Sunset Framing Gallery in Port Macquarie.
Intermediate Watercolour painting Workshop; Learn to paint Banksia pods & leaves. Sat 29 March. 10am till 2pm. Sunset Framing Gallery. Local award winning watercolour artist Stu Doherty will guide you through all the basic techniques and you will take home a lovely artwork Study of a banksia pod. ALL MATERIALS will be provided, or you can bring your favourite watercolour supplies too. 4 hours: 10am till 2pm BYO snack / lunch or drink.
