On Saturday, March 14, under the beautiful elm tree at Roto House, we look forward to welcoming JB Paterson for an intimate outdoor performance steeped in song, story, and atmosphere. Hailing from Cedar Creek, QLD, JB Paterson is a critically acclaimed folk musician whose work draws comparisons to the great storytellers of the genre, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, and Townes Van Zandt. Forging a fiercely independent, DIY path, JB records from his own off-grid studio in the countryside of Greater Brisbane, crafting songs that feel both timeless and deeply personal. With three self-produced albums to his name and heavy rotation on Australian radio, JB has built a reputation for raw musicianship and honest storytelling. His songs have carried him across the country, from quiet, candlelit rooms to festival stages, always delivered with warmth, grit, and sincerity. Set beneath the elm tree in the late afternoon light, this special performance promises a rare chance to experience one of Australia’s most compelling folk artists in a truly beautiful setting. Expect heartfelt songs, stripped-back arrangements, and a connection that lingers long after the final note.
