Discover the best events and make the most of your time this month in Moruya. From education to nightlife and more, we have the biggest event range and best discovery experience, there's something for everyone.
Create a “Magic Beach”–inspired treasure chest these school holidays. Join us for school holiday fun and make a treasure chest inspired by the illustrations in Alison Lester's beloved children’s book, “Magic Beach”. We’ll use paper-crafting skills to construct a treasure chest and decorate it with natural and imagined treasures… “As we push back the lid, we are dazzled by light from the glittering treasure inside.”

Saddle up for a creative session where young artists bring wooden ponies and other pony artworks to life with paint, accessories and personality!

Bring your creative skills and help create illuminated installations, stencil art, and glowing decorations to communicate this year’s Youth Week theme, “Dream, Dare, Do”. Then see your work on display at the Band Comp on Saturday, 18 April.
Watch the flying-foxes fly out at Riverside Park, Moruya, at this family friendly event! International Bat Appreciation Day is celebrated on the 17th April every year. It is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate bats across the world and their importance in ecosystem health including pollination, seed dispersal, insect control, and why we rely on them to keep our forests healthy. We are fortunate enough in Eurobodalla to share our home with the threatened grey-headed flying-foxes who live seasonally across the shire. To celebrate our 'forest gardeners', we will be gathering at one of their known roosts to watch this species fly out to our forests at dusk in search of flowers, nectar and pollen. Join WIRES, Eurobodalla Landcare and Council's Flying-Fox Officer from 4:30pm on Friday 17th April at Riverside Park in Moruya for an evening of activities and education suitable for the whole family! Repurpose for Resilience's food trailer will be catering for an early dinner and other refreshments. Free face painting for kids to celebrate their favourite native animal. Create your own flying-fox mask. WIRES will be teaching us about how anyone can help bats at home.
