Discover the best events and make the most of your time in Gunning. From music to trivia and more, we have the biggest event range and best discovery experience, there's something for everyone.

We are so glad to welcome Alice and Arnan back to the Courtroom. This is sure to be an afternoon of highly enjoyable and very satisfying music. Two excellent artists playing pieces they love in an intimate and historic venue so well suited to the music they bring us. Harpist Alice Giles AM and pianist Arnan Wiesel are artists of note. Their concert will include duos from C.P. Bach, 20th Century and Romantic music. Alice will also play two collections of works by Carlos Salzedo that showcase the harp in all of its colours and virtuosity.
An excellent, enthusiastic and experienced ensemble will delight you with classical and early romantic period treasures. Mozart, Haydn and more.
Explore the art of ageing metal at Connect@Gunning’s Patina Alchemy workshop. Join Southern Tablelands Arts and metals conservator Lisa Addison for a fun workshop looking at how to create aged patinas on metal. Create your own shimmering colours using non-toxic recipes inspired by museum techniques. An informative and practical workshop that’s perfect for anyone wanting to create painterly effects on metal surfaces.

Join us for a one-day bus tour as we visit three erosion sites in the Gunning district. At each stop we will examine the causes and solutions for management.
Time to get organised – Gunning Patchwork Weekend is back in 2026, promising plenty of fun and learning. ‘Repurpose with a Purpose: Bringing New Life to Old Ideas.’ Chris Jurd, Mary Kennedy, Lynne Wilson, Wendy Nutt will each run classes, offering six options in total (one- and two-day sessions) to suit every interest. With small class sizes for the best experience, spots will fill fast so book early to avoid disappointment. All classes include catered lunches, morning and afternoon teas. Registration will be at the GPW Fat Quarter located in the Gunning Shire Hall as the classes are scattered in suitable warm venues around the town. An opportunity to connect with old friends and make some new ones.
