Wheel throwing - Beginners to Intermediate with Rasma Kradzins. This 8-week course covers fundamental techniques of throwing clay on a wheel, including wedging, centring, opening out, and forming a basic cylinder. Students will receive 8 kg of clay and will learn how to turn, trim, and finish the base of a leather hard pot. Opportunities to decorate, underglaze, slip trail, and apply glazes to bisque fired work will also be given. Cost: $430.
Learn how silk fibres can be transformed into unique pieces of paper, fabric or objects. You will learn techniques to manipulate silk fibres for paper making, fabric making or textile art applications. The workshop will cover essential skills, materials, and creative techniques for those interested in textile arts, clothing, applique, bag making, jewellery making, home décor, book covers and journals etc.
Join us in person for a Pole Photography Workshop by Saturated Images and lets get creating! Pole photography is a challenging genre with a steep technical learning curve. This course aims to make it easier to get into this growing industry. Participants will have opportunities to shoot models, learn about camera settings, studio lighting, shot composition, posing, and workflow for images post-shoot. Plus, there will be a chance to ask questions throughout the workshop.
