Explore the vibrant event scene and make the most of your time next 30-days in Canowindra. From education to nightlife and more, we have the biggest event range and best discovery experience, there's something for everyone.

This practical workshop explores how arts and culture can play a powerful role in driving visitation and strengthening regional identity. Drawing on recent research and a new resource toolkit, the session will help participants better position existing cultural activity as part of the visitor economy. It will look at how to promote what already exists more effectively, while identifying opportunities to shape new experiences that are compelling, place-based and aligned with what visitors are seeking. Participants will consider how to develop and package arts and cultural activity into bookable, market-ready experiences, and how to build stronger connections with the tourism sector, including local operators, destination marketing organisations and councils. Relevant for artists, cultural organisations, tourism businesses and local government, the workshop is designed to be collaborative and outcome-focused, supporting participants to identify practical next steps for growing cultural tourism in their own communities.

Calling artists, venues, promoters, artist managers, educators, techs and others involved in music and the arts in Canowindra and the surrounding areas. Don’t miss ‘The Mix’ hosted by MusicNSW Regional Coordinator Sophie Jones on Wiradjuri Country. Join us at Perennialle Plants Nursery & Emporium, on Tuesday, 21 April to connect, chat, and meet others in your local music scene. You can also learn about opportunities coming up and how MusicNSW can support you. This edition of The Mix is a Listening Party, so if you want to share music that you’ve released/been working on, select the ‘submission’ ticket type at the checkout and attach a link (released or unreleased via Soundcloud, Bandcamp, Dropbox etc.). We’ll play it during the listening party portion of the night. Please ensure your music is mixed and that you are comfortable having it played aloud in front of others. We encourage a safe space, and ask all attendees to be respectful, kind and courteous during the listening party. Light catering will be provided.
