Environment Events in Albury

Join Parklands Rangers to help find and remove woody weeds such as privet, olive, cherry plum, wild tobacco, ash, and hawthorn in this beautiful reserve. This is an opportunity to work alongside our Rangers experiencing the ‘how to’ of caring for our local bush. No experience is necessary – our Rangers will help with weed identification and removal techniques. Take in the fresh air, get close to nature, and learn about the local environment and how Albury City and community groups are working to protect threatened species, improve habitat, and link habitat corridors across the region.

Discover the amazing world in the soil. Find out why remediating soil is one of the most effective ways to approach climate change. Learn to identify your soil type and how to amend it to grow food. Includes a hands on opportunity to create different types of compost heaps. Morning tea included. (Location details will be given to ticket holders before the event).
