Weaving Stories of Strength Workshop 2: Art Therapy & Reflection Transform emotion into expression. Guided by Sensorimotor Art Therapist Sarah Poulton, this session offers a safe space for mindfulness and creative reflection. Participants will explore personal narratives through gentle art-making practices, fostering emotional safety and self-expression. This workshop provides a moment to pause, breathe, and let creativity become a pathway to healing. Art therapy session focusing on grounding and emotional processing through drawing and mark-making. Transfer words, images, or symbols from your reflections onto textile squares using paint, embroidery, or felting. Optional audio recording of words or sounds that emerge during the session, contributing to the collective soundscape.

Guided by Melissa “Moo” Lubke (MA Therapeutic Arts Practice, AThR), this workshop offers a safe and supportive space for mindfulness and creative reflection. Through gentle art-making practices, participants will explore personal narratives, fostering emotional safety, and self-expression.

Cut, dye, print, paint, embroider, felt, inscribe: turn fabric into story. This hands-on workshop brings together previous participants to complete their textile panels and welcomes new participants to begin creating their own. Guided by Interweave Arts artists, we will deconstruct garments, inscribe words and symbols, and start stitching these stories into the main structure of the wearable sculpture. Returning participants finalise their panels; new participants begin their creative journey. Cut garments into panels, dye them in shades of grey, and inscribe words or symbols that reflect personal journeys. Begin stitching panels into the main structure, embedding meaning into every layer. Optional sound recording of words or sounds for the final soundscape.

From fragments to form. This workshop is where the sculpture begins to take shape as a unified piece. Guided by Interweave Arts artists, participants will complete the assembly of textile panels and explore how the sculpture interacts with the body. Sound elements will also be introduced, adding depth and resonance to the collective artwork.
