ART POST in Gympie has secured a world first, major solo exhibition of pastel works by Steve Kilbey. The works merge animal, forest and alien worlds in a peaceful but potentially dangerous vision of imagined reality. Amphibia. You'll be immersed in the prodigious creative energy of a multi-talented artist before he heads off to shows in the Maldives and a US tour of 26 cities. April until Saturday 16 May at ART POST, open Monday to Saturday 8am till 2pm daily with free entry. Steve became fond of ART POST when he visited in 2004 for his solo music performance @qube226 and has created a body of work specifically for showing at ART POST. You’ll find extra surprises throughout the exhibition, including “Eros Zeta and the Perfumed Guitars”, a novel written by Steve Kilbey, The Church merchandise, and he will even bring his guitar on the opening night.
