This course complements the Teen Mental Health First Aid education that is being rolled out across our 10 participating secondary schools and is part of the broader Live4Life Ballarat initiative. Adults who undertake the Youth Mental Health First Aid training course will have a better understanding of common mental health problems such as depression, anxiety, panic attacks, eating disorders and psychosis. This course also teaches adults to learn how to identify the signs and symptoms of a developing mental health problem in a young person, how to have a conversation with them when they are in distress or crisis, and how to support them in receiving professional help.
