Many of the birds that come into care are orphans. They require specialised care. Topics will include: Identification, Basic anatomy and life stages, Diet, Husbandry, Housing, When to release. Notes will be provided after the training.

This orientation session provides essential information about ACT Wildlife's community work and how you can contribute. Exclusively for members.

This is the recommended training to take for new carers because over 60% of animals in ACT Wildlife's care are birds. Topics will include: Identification, Basic anatomy and life stages, Diet, Husbandry, Housing, Common injuries and illnesses, and How to release. Notes will be provided after the training.

Learn about Brushtail possums, Sugar gliders and Ringtail possums. Instruction on how to care for these species as each species has different diets, habits, housing etc. As a possum carer you will experience first hand these delightful creatures and rehabilitate them to return to the wild.
