The Embassy of Spain in Australia and ANU Film Group are pleased to present: Sirât Luis (López) and his son travel through Morocco's desert, joining a group of ravers in search of Mar, who disappeared at a party months prior. Reception: Won the Jury Prize and Soundtrack Award at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival. Described by critics as a 'major film' and a 'raw,' 'deeply moving' experience. Some reviewers, however, found the narrative, often, 'exasperating' or 'pointless'.

Architect Enrico Taglietti developed and maintained a deep engagement with art and artists throughout his life. This talk by Virginia Rigney (CMAG Senior Curator) explores his foundational experiences in the Milan 1954 Triennale which focused on the theme of the connection between art and architecture, a lifelong admiration for the Pablo Piacasso’s Guernica, friendship with Lucio Fontana and engagement with contemporary Italian artists such as Mario Negri and his collaboration with Clement Meadmore for the Town House Motel in Civic. Delivered in conjunction with the Taglietti: Life in Design exhibition on show at Canberra Museum and Gallery throughout the ACT Heritage Festival.
Join the Hands On Studio artists for an afternoon of Ink Drawing at Canberra Contemporary. Water Following an interactive walkthrough of the exhibition, attendees are invited to sketch their personal experiences and associations with water, drawing inspiration from the surrounding works and practices of the Hands On Studio artists. The workshop encourages conversation and creative exchange throughout the afternoon, reflecting the collaborative approach of the mural and the artists themselves.
Join us at Canberra Museum and Gallery for an exclusive, expert-led architectural tour celebrating Enrico Taglietti’s iconic Canberra designs. Guided by architect, author, educator and Australian Architecture Association President, Tone Wheeler, this unique Heritage Festival experience will visit some iconic Taglietti buildings across the city. Tour participants will enjoy rare access to buildings normally closed to the public, and be immersed in Taglietti's distinctive use of space, material and light. The tour includes an Italian lunch at Agostinis and concludes with a curator-led tour of the Taglietti: Life in Design exhibition at CMAG.
