Art Events in Belconnen

Photowalk is a chance for any person no matter what age or ability to get together and have a lovely walk, get some fresh air and meet other photographically minded people. It is meant to be all inclusive whether you own a SLR, a compact or just a phone. IT IS NOT A COMPETITION. It is just a way to meet other interesting people to learn a little bit and to have a yarn and a laugh. Ownership of the images is retained by each individual and each person is urged to share their creations online on Facebook or Instagram. The theme for this walk is Urban Landscapes. We will start at the exhibition and spend 15 minutes getting some background then walk around Belconnen town centre to make images that contextually reveal the Urban landscape and how it impacts nature.

The Birdlife Photography Biennial Conference 2026 features leading bird photographers and citizen scientists. The conference is a five-day event, incorporating two days of local guided field trips prior to the conference, the two-day conference, and a range of guided and self-guided field trips after the conference. It’s also a great opportunity to meet and network with other bird photographers!
