Join Curator Dominic Guerrera and Associate Curator Jayda Wilson on a guided tour providing insight and discussion on the stories within the Kumarangk exhibition. The exhibition also features major new works from Mardawi Art Collective, including the legendary Aunty Ellen Trevorrow.
This popular workshop is happening again! You'll learn to roll clay coils and slabs and build your chicken or chicken planter using Feeneys Clay before applying details and colour. Your little chicken will then be left to dry before it is glazed and fired ready for you to collect in two - three weeks. This is a very popular fun workshop and the techniques you'll learn can be applied to other forms such as cats or dogs or whatever your imagination challenges you with. Make your very own unique chicken or planter. Suitable for beginners or the more skilled wanting to learn new techniques. All materials and equipment, glazing and firing is included.

Guided by Karen, you’ll learn essential techniques such as line work, hatching, cross-hatching, stippling, and creating texture and depth. The class focuses on observation and precision, helping you develop control and confidence while exploring this medium to develop your own artistic style. In this session, we will explore how to draw architectural subjects using pen and ink while simplifying complex details and creating depth through line and texture. Understanding horizon line & eye level, and introduction to basic perspective.
