I was diagnosed with breast cancer on 15 August 2024. Since October 2024, I have completed 15 rounds of chemotherapy, undergone a mastectomy with reconstruction, and completed 15 rounds of radiation. I also lost my mum to cancer the day after I finished chemo. As a First Nations woman, I am passionate about raising awareness of the unique challenges faced by First Nations people impacted by breast cancer. My next challenge is the TREK4BCNA Mount Kilimanjaro Adventure on 18 February 2026. Our team is raising $50,000 for BCNA. On Saturday, 7 February 2026 I’m hosting a community fundraiser – ‘KK’s Pink Party’ to support BCNA.
