Applications of nanostructures span many fields - renewable energy, electronics, textiles, food technology, environmental science, and medicine. Understanding the mechanics of these structures is essential, as it enables us to optimise their performance. In this talk, we will explore the geometries of nanostructures and examine how these geometric features influence the mathematical models used to describe and predict their behaviour.
