This is the recommended training to take for new carers because over 60% of animals in ACT Wildlife's care are birds. Topics will include: Identification, Basic anatomy and life stages, Diet, Husbandry, Housing, Common injuries and illnesses, and How to release. Notes will be provided after the training.

Course for Basic Reptile care for members of ACT Wildlife wanting to rehabilitate injured and sick reptiles.
To build a confident, skilled, and culturally safe workforce where educators feel empowered to speak up.
Learn about Brushtail possums, Sugar gliders and Ringtail possums. Instruction on how to care for these species as each species has different diets, habits, housing etc. As a possum carer you will experience first hand these delightful creatures and rehabilitate them to return to the wild.
Meeting for Montessori School Principals
This is an introduction to the care, rehabilitation and release of Flying-Foxes and Microbats. Topics will include: Basic anatomy, Licence and legislation, Equipment for caring, Why animals come into care, Rescue, Zoonosis, Handling, Housing, Diet, Basic first aid, Release, Orphans. Registration will begin at 9:15am for a 9.30am start, and the day will finish around 4pm. Morning tea will be provided. Please bring your own lunch. Due to Covid restrictions, places are limited.
